21 FEBRUARY 2013, PHILIPPINES
SummaryNo boring fights for PXC fans! Thousands of spectators were ALL on their feet and witnessed the technique and strength of the some of the best fighters from the Philippines, California, Hawaii, Japan, and Europe, as they showcased their MMA skills and fighting spirit at PXC-35 on February 16th in Manila, Philippines.
The show was once agained streamed LIVE in SHERDOG.COM (http://new.livestream.com/accounts/1594039/events/1813345) and broadcasted via the Philippines’ #1 free-to-air sports channel, AKTV on IBC13.
In a battle for the PXC Lightweight Division Title, Harris "The Hitman" Sarmiento once again showed why he's the undisputed Lightweight Champion. In the first round, Sarmiento immediately exposed Ordiz weakness with a vicious take down, followed by a barrage of punches that left the challenger defenseless. It was only a matter of minutes until Ordiz gave up and tapped out to a Kimura lock.
Now with 60 total professional MMA fights, Sarmiento cemented his position as one of PXC's greatest fighters of all time. During his post fight interview, the Champ immediately called out the only Filipino Fighter to beat him inside the PXC cage, Mark Striegl. The venue erupted when he called out "Mugen"! Now, only time will tell if Sarmiento/Striegl-II will happen.

In the Flyweight Division, for the #1 Contender for Ale "The Young Gun" Cali's belt, Louis Smolka shocked PXC fans from a come-from-behind win over the heavy-handed Alvin Cacdac. Round I was clearly Cacdac's round as he left Smolka bloodied and bruised. Barely surviving the doctor's decision at the end of the first round, Smolka, nick-named "Da Last Samurai", didn't back down the in the second and third rounds as he continuously pushed the pace and took down Cacdac - eventually landing a Rear Naked Choke Submission, earning "Fight of the Night" honors.
The win landed Smolka the opportunity to challenge for the PXC Flyweight Title against Davao-native, Ale Cali. The fight is set to happen on May 18, 2013 in Manila, Philippines.
